We are looking for a new employee who wants to develop our rural areas together with us. Is that you?

The association Idériket Umeåregionen develops rural areas based on the location and the needs and commitment of the residents. Through the Leader 2023-2027 program, we finance development ideas that make our rural areas more sustainable, attractive and vibrant. Our Leader area includes the municipalities of Bjurholm, Nordmaling, Vindeln, Vännäs, Robertsfors and Umeå, (excluding the city of Umeå).

We are now looking for someone who wants to develop our rural areas together with us. As a project developer at Leader Ideriket, you can really make a difference. For 5 years, we will support projects that contribute to long-term social and ecological sustainability in the rural areas of the Umeå region. Your role will be to coach the best projects so that the board can grant funds for long-term investments. You will have a varied workday that mixes outward-looking inspirational work with structured administration. Together with the operations manager, you will work to inform different target groups about the opportunities with Leader, coach those who want to develop project ideas, process project applications, hold training sessions and follow up on projects that have been granted. As the work takes place in the different municipalities of the Umeå region, the location is flexible and you have great opportunities to influence your work situation.

With us you are part of a small but committed team of employees where everyone has their own roles but always encourages and supports each other where needed. The association's board consists of representatives interested in rural areas from the Umeå region's associations, companies and public actors. The association has broad networks and collaborations also regionally, nationally and at European level.

We believe that the person we are looking for will recognize themselves in many of these points:

  • sees the potential of rural areas and believes in local development power
  • is proficient in projects as a working method, probably has experience of EU-funded projects
  • has relevant experience from associations, entrepreneurship or the public sector
  • has experience in handling public support according to procedures and regulations
  • is a confident communicator regardless of target group and is used to communicating on social media
  • has experience in coaching or guiding others towards development
  • has difficulty in taking in, analyzing and compiling information in Swedish, both spoken and written
  • are an experienced user of Office 365 and quickly learn new software/IT systems
  • is self-driven, flexible, opportunity-focused and delivery-reliable

Scope part-time (20h/wk), with the possibility of increased duty. Access as soon as possible. The position has flexible working hours - you need to be able to work flexibly during the day, evenings and weekends based on the needs of the business and our various target groups. A driver's license and your own car for business trips are required.
