This page helps you move forward if you have already gone through the process with the expression of interest, received a positive assessment from the board, and thus been inspired to continue bringing your idea to reality!

For the rest of you, here are some steps to follow in writing your actual project application in the Swedish Board of Agriculture's system!

Apply for authorization directly!

To access the Swedish Board of Agriculture's system and start writing an application, one of you needs to have the responsibility to submit the application. That person should apply for authorization from the Swedish Board of Agriculture to gain access to these functions.

It may take a few days for the Swedish Board of Agriculture to process the application, so do this as soon as possible!

Keep track of the strategy

When you write your project application, it is super important that you continue in the line you started with your expression of interest. Read the feedback from the board, read our strategy again, and especially the sections that pertain to the intervention area you will be writing your project application within. Here you will find the strategy.

Write the application

Once your application for authorization has been approved, it is time to start writing in the system!

The e-service for this can be accessed through the following steps:

  • Go to www.jordbruksverket.se and log in to My Pages with Bank-ID
  • Select the organization you represent
  • Write the application by following the steps in the e-service
  • Attach the following documents (requirements for an approved application)
    • Budget template, quotes, all cost documentation – everything that verifies your budget items in the project. You can find the budget template here
    • Liquidity certificate. To show that you have liquidity, you can for example attach bank statements, balance sheets, or loan promises that demonstrate that you have the ability to cover expenses corresponding to approximately 30% of the project support you wish to apply for.
    • Cooperation agreement/letter of intent from those you will collaborate with in the project. This document needs to describe what each partner will actively contribute to the project, and what the partner sees they will gain from the project's objectives.

Submit the project application

For your project application to be included in the current project period, it is important that you submit the application in the Swedish Board of Agriculture's system before the deadline. The current deadline is indicated on our website under the calendar.

Before you press the button, it is worth taking the time to review your application in relation to the selection and assessment criteria that the board will evaluate it against. You can find the selection and assessment criteria on this page

After you have submitted the application to the Swedish Board of Agriculture, it is up to the board to assess which project applications will be prioritized in this project round by relying on the strategy as well as the selection and assessment criteria.
If your application is prioritized, you will be informed shortly after the relevant board meeting.

The next step is for us at the operations office to process your application, and then for the Swedish Board of Agriculture to review the application and make a formal decision on your project application. The time it takes between the board approving your project and when the Swedish Board of Agriculture makes a formal decision can vary. It may require additional information, or perhaps the Swedish Board of Agriculture is under high pressure at that time. Regardless, it usually takes about 3 – 5 months between the board's decision and the Swedish Board of Agriculture's decision, but sometimes longer.
Once the board has made a decision to grant a project, costs may be incurred for the project. However, this is done at your own risk as it is the Board of Agriculture's decision that is the actual decision and there is therefore still a risk that the project will not be granted.
