The senses industrial museum

The project will develop Olofsfors industrial museum into a more accessible and inspiring learning environment for children and young people. By creating the Senses' industrial museum, visitors will have the opportunity to experience the history of the mill by seeing, listening, touching, and feeling. Special focus is placed on creating an environment that is accessible and stimulating even for children and students with disabilities.

Together with the primary school in Nordmaling, the project will develop a pedagogical plan with activities linked to the school's curricula and develop educational materials that can be used in teaching. Through collaboration with Olofsfors AB, the historical iron production of the mill is connected with today's and tomorrow's steel industry. The goal is to spark children's and young people's curiosity and desire to learn, attract more young visitors, and make Olofsfors mill an obvious learning environment for schools in Nordmaling.
