We want to honor the climate heroes of the countryside
Around our rural areas, there are people who, with courage, commitment, and drive, lead the rest of us towards a brighter future. It can involve creating new sustainable solutions, strengthening biodiversity, reducing climate impact, or building stronger local communities.
Now we want to highlight these initiatives through the event Micro gala for Climate Heroes.
Award ceremony for this year's Future Builders
During the gala, this year's Future Builders will be appointed. The award aims to recognize individuals, organizations, associations, or companies that, through courage, creativity, and commitment, contribute to developing our countryside in an environmentally and climate-smart way.
The award should highlight people and initiatives that inspire others to think differently and act. Clever solutions to environmental problems do not only arise in big cities or at the national level. They are being developed here, in our villages, associations, and businesses.
The initiative is part of the project Innovative and sustainable rural areas, which is driven by Idériket Umeåregionen 2030 with a focus on inspiring more to sustainable initiatives and strengthening the image of rural areas as places for innovation, development, and future optimism.
